This Digital IR Photo from Queen Lili’uokalani Park: Koho-Choice: They had eaten and finished drinking their coffee. Earlier they had taken different paths in the park. Now, he lay on the sofa with his head in her lap. She looked down at him and stroked his face and hair. At this point in their relationship they did not feel the urgency to be physical with each other as they had at first. They were content to touch each other in acknowledgement that they were in reality together again. They listened to music; watched the sun set over the mountains. From time to time he would take her hand to his mouth and kiss her fingers. He had been hurt badly in his life, kicked around by many people. He was happy to just be with her and she with him. It seemed totally unfair that they were both hooked on drugs and that their lives were about to crash. Like in the park she hoped they didn’t take different paths.
