Ho'oilo-Winter   8"x11" matted photo
This Digital IR Photo from Queen Lili’uokalani Park: Ho’oilo-Winter:  He thought of Winter as he sat in the park and looked at the trees. In his mind he had many pictures of the women in his life. At night he would lie down with the curtains drawn and stare at them. As he stared at the images in his mind, the tiny muscles of his mouth twitched and puckered as if were kissing someone. One image was of a young girl in a cotton dress with innocent ice blue eyes, another picture of the same woman in a slightly masculine dress, and another with her kneeling on a bed leaning forward. The frilly nightgown she had on had fallen open revealing herself to him. Her skin was pale, almond brown and smooth. Her lips were parted in a soft expression that he took as an invitation.  He looked at all of the images in his mind and wondered which was the real woman, all of them or none.
