Children in therapy and in life are often caught in the conflicts and fights of their parents and siblings and try to cope by running and/or hiding and trying to blend in so as not to be noticed. Yet later as adults the memories of childhood are like skeletons or ghosts of memories, half forgotten and not consciously aware yet painfully there, forming their current thoughts, feelings, and actions.
