This Digital IR Photo from Queen Lili’uokalani Park: Alahula-Path: As she looked at the path in the park she thought that her acting was like she was sleep walking through the rehearsals. She remember the moves to make and the words to say but her performance was wooden, lifeless. Her mind was filled with confused memories. She couldn’t stop thinking of the way her husband had died. She had known, intellectually, that people died violently. The plays she did were filled with scripts that had violence, fights, deaths, and rapes. She watched as they were acted out. But until it had happened to her, she didn’t understand the reality of it. It was just a story with actors and at the end of the show the actors would get up and go on with their lives. But her husband was dead. She could not go home to him. She was still numbed and traumatized by the shock. She wondered why she continued acting, pretending, playing a part. It was a crazy way to live. It was time to get back to the rehearsal.

The Original Photo is digitized art, printed on photo paper by a professional printer who uses inks and that are rated to last 100 years.
